Airquee Celebrating World Photo Day

To celebrate World Photo Day today, we’ve collected some of our favourite photos from over 30 years of Airquee! From incredible milestone moments to sentimental team photos and products, take a trip down memory lane as we dive deeper into our favourite throwbacks.

In 2015, we made history by creating the world’s largest bouncy castle — a massive achievement that showcased the skill, innovation, and ambition at the heart of Airquee. This giant inflatable was not just a record-breaking structure, but also a testament to our team’s ability to dream big and deliver even bigger. It remains one of our proudest milestones, and a shining example of what can be achieved when creativity and craftsmanship come together.

In 2022, Airquee proudly celebrated 15 years of manufacturing excellence in Europe. From a humble start with 18 employees, we’ve expanded our family to over 400 dedicated professionals worldwide. This photo captures our incredible factory team in Romania, where over 250 of our talented colleagues came together to mark this special milestone with a well-deserved celebration and birthday cake.

Throwing it back to where it all began! This small pillar and beam inflatable, adorned with a cute lion and tiger on the front pillars, was the very first creation from our Romania factory back in 2007. This piece marks the start of our incredible journey in manufacturing in Europe, a humble beginning that has led to us becoming one of the world’s leading and largest inflatable manufacturers. It’s a nostalgic reminder of how far we’ve come.

At the 2023 Leisure Supplies Show (LSS), our team made a big impact with our largest display to date, showcasing over 60 innovative products. It was an incredible opportunity to demonstrate the creativity and craftsmanship that Airquee is known for. With plans already underway, 2024 is set to be even bigger and better — we can’t wait to unveil what our team has been tirelessly working on.

In 2018, Airquee revolutionised the industry by designing and manufacturing the world’s first inflatable park, marking the birth of our Airparx division. This groundbreaking creation opened up a new realm of possibilities, blending fun, innovation, and our signature craftsmanship into a one-of-a-kind experience. It was a bold step that has since led to the development of numerous custom inflatable parks worldwide, solidifying our position as pioneers in the inflatable industry.

Children’s Day, celebrated on the 1st of June, is a cherished tradition in many countries, including Romania. It’s a special day dedicated to honouring and celebrating the joy and innocence of children. At Airquee, we embrace this tradition wholeheartedly with our annual Company Fun Day, where our SRL/Romania employees bring their families to join in the festivities.

The event showcases around 20 inflatables, all expertly crafted by our talented team, giving employees a chance to proudly display their work to their loved ones. The day is filled with laughter and fun, as children enjoy playing on the inflatables, indulging in traditional food treats, popcorn, face painting, and refreshing drinks. Organised by our dedicated office team, this celebration is truly one of the highlights of the year, reflecting the spirit and values of Airquee.

Meet Catarina, our dynamic Portuguese Sales Executive, showcasing the impressive elephant curved front slide to customers at our very first Portuguese Open Day. As we launch our focus on Portugal in 2024, we’re excited to continue building strong connections in the region. Although Catarina is based in Ireland, her Portuguese roots and fluency in Spanish make her an invaluable asset to our team and our expanding presence in the Iberian market.

Teamwork truly makes the dream work! Our Airquee family comes together whenever they can. Here, six of our team members capture a special moment at the base of the iconic London Eye, proudly sporting their ‘Team A’ shirts in celebration of our MD’s birthday—an event that has now become an annual tradition before the IAAPA Europe Tradeshow. It’s the close bonds and camaraderie within our team that help make the magic happen every day. At Airquee, we’re more than just colleagues— we’re a family who care for and support each other.

Meet Adrian Neagu, our Director General for Airquee SRL Romania, who has been at the helm from day one. This photo captures Adrian in his early days with the company, showcasing the dedication and passion that have driven him throughout his career. 18 years later, Adrian continues to lead with the same commitment and expertise, a true testament to his remarkable skills and leadership. His journey is an integral part of Airquee’s success story, and we’re proud to have him as a key figure in our team.

This photo takes us back to the early days of Airquee SRL, showcasing 16 of our original team members alongside one of our larger bouncy castles. We’re incredibly proud that 9 of the dedicated individuals who joined us in year one were are with us 15 years later—a testament to the fun, excitement, and passion that define working at Airquee. Their long-standing commitment speaks volumes about the positive and supportive environment we’ve cultivated over the years. It’s more than just a job; it’s a place where people choose to build their careers and be part of something special.
