Airquee has worked with many brands to create bespoke inflatable attractions and experiences. One memorable project saw us work with Mattel and its brand management and marketing teams to help create a touring Thomas the Tank Engine experience.
Designed to travel the length and breadth of the UK, the attraction needed to capture the instantly recognisable character while also being practical for a busy touring schedule.
The brief required an attraction that was eye-catching, engaging and safe, while being easy for the team to transport, set up, operate and pack away at each location.
It also needed to be fully covered and weather-resistant, helping make the experience suitable for the unpredictable British weather.
Working closely with Kreate and Oakwood, Airquee developed a solution combining several different elements.
A lightweight inflatable shelter provided a covered environment that could be quickly erected, while vibrant digitally printed artwork brought the Thomas theme to life.
Airquee's in-house printing capabilities allowed us to create detailed branded graphics using child-friendly inks and protective coatings, helping achieve the colourful finish the project required.
The finished experience brought together inflatable components, metal structures and soft play foam pieces, creating an engaging environment where children could play and parents could get involved in the experience.
With design and manufacturing handled in-house by Airquee, the different elements could be developed to work together as one cohesive branded attraction.
The result was a colourful, practical and highly recognisable touring experience that complemented one of the world's best-known children's brands.
