Repairs & Testing
All inflatables should have an annual inspection, whether a PIPA inspection for land inflatables or Health & Safety inspection for pool inflatables or soft play.
PIPA certified units are becoming more and more requested and Airquee can provide all inspection documentation. Airquee recommends inspections are carried out to the EN14960 standard using RPII inspectors. Airquee has registered RPII play inspectors and we can perform PIPA inspection on your units at competitive prices, for quotations please call our team today. Inspecting is a HSE backed scheme which ensures that your bouncy castle conforms to the latest version of the EN 14960 Inflatable Play Equipment Standard. Airquee takes pride in manufacturing fully EN14960 compliant bouncy castles and inflatables. An annual inspection requiring PIPA certification must include the fan/blower used with the bouncy castle or inflatable, and if the unit is used outdoors the pegs/stakes must also be inspected.
The PIPA scheme doesn’t apply to pool inflatables however it is best practice to have them inspected annually. We offer Pool Inflatable Annual Safety Inspections, also known as a Health & Safety inspection
Our repair work is done in our factory at Cwmbran, where we have three registered inspectors (RPII). We will arrange to collect your unit and transport it to our repair centre overnight. An expert will inflate the unit and quote for the repairs that are necessary. We will then contact you for approval to carry out the necessary work and let you know when you can expect to have your inflatable returned. After the quote is approved we will carry out the work and send your unit back. All our repairs are covered by a 3 month warranty.
If you have multiple units or it’s just not possible for you to send the unit to us we can arrange to visit your site. This is possible for health and safety/PIPA testing and minor repairs. Major works however would have to come back to our factory to make use of our specialist equipment.
Every unit we sell comes complete with a repair kit for minor repairs. This kit includes PVC patches, glue, needle and thread. We sell these kits individually; please call us if you would like to order one. We can dispatch the kit for next day delivery if required.
Airquee are members of the RPII
The Register of Play Inspectors International (RPII) examines, accredits and certificates individual inspectors. It accredits courses to train inspectors.
In our repairs and testing section you will notice the seals of each of our fully trained and accredited inspectors. Below are two pdf downloads from the RPII explaining the importance and benefits of choosing an RPII accredited inspector to work on your inflatables.

Airquee adheres to all major inflatable safety standards. This ensures that our products are as safe as possible.
Airquee designs land inflatables by following guidelines as laid out in the EN14960 standard revised 2013. All our new land inflatable units are provided with a certificate of conformity. The EN14960 standard guidelines apply to inflatable play equipment, anything that is predominately used for bouncing or sliding. This includes bouncy castles, bouncing beds, multi-play centres, slides, obstacle courses etc.
The EN14960 standard does NOT apply to pool inflatables, air buildings, domestic inflatables or inflatable games. However, when manufacturing our units Airquee always follows best practice, making sure our units conform on all applicable points. For example, we make all our units with no sharp edges, correct stitching lines, accepted pressure gauge readings, even if they are an inflatable which is not technically covered by the EN14960 standard. Any land inflatable should be annually inspected by a competent person (as stated by HSE). Some annual inspections are referred to as RPII tests or PIPA tests, although the correct term is inspection.
PIPA is an organisation providing a database of RPII inspectors and all UK inflatable units that have a PIPA tag. You can request a PIPA tag and certificate for a land inflatable unit that has been made to the EN14960 standard at any time. It will then be added to the PIPA register/database. The PIPA tag is only issued once and remains on the unit for the duration of its life. It is imperative if following the PIPA guidelines that a new PIPA certificate is issued annually on the anniversary of the last inspection.
RPII is the Register of Play Inspectors International. This register is where all qualified inspectors have details registered, meaning that they have passed the competency test to carry out annual inspection on inflatables. This qualification requires the inspectors to make sure units adhere to the EN14960 standard guidelines.
